Altrincham & District Athletic Club is based at Park Road Recreational Ground off Park Road near the centre of Timperley Village, founded in 1961 we are a small and friendly club and welcome athletes of disciplines.
Altrincham & District Athletic Club operate an open and inclusive policy and aims to provide all sections of society with equal opportunities. We provide coaching and competition for juniors from 8 years old and upwards through senior and veteran age groups.
We cater for most track and field events, road running, cross country, fell running, mountain running and sports hall athletics. We have fully qualified coaches in all disciplines.
Keep fit enthusiasts, joggers, speed walkers and beginners are also welcomed.

The club is open 6:45pm - 8pm Tuesday and Thursday evenings |
Our facilities include a seven lane cinder track, six lane 110m tartan sprint & hurdles track, tartan long, triple and high jump, tartan javelin run ups, throwing cage for discus and hammer and circle and quadrant for shot putt. Inside our perimeter fence we have a grass trail.
Our Club is celebrating its 50 year anniverssary in 2011 and throughout its colourful history it can claim a number of County, Regional, National and International athletes amonst its membership.
Membership is open to Juniors (classed as being in fulltime education) for a fee of £20 per year, and Seniors at £40 per year (click here for more information). Membership is due for renewal on 1st April each year. Awards are presented annually, junior track & field awards in December following our Christmas Cross Country Handicaps in John Leigh Park and senior awards are made at the AGM in April.

The club operates a Child Welfare Policy, a copy of which can be obtained from the track on training nights. Parent/ Guardians are requested to complete a consent form and provide details for their children and emergency contact numbers on attending the first training session, all of our coaches are qualified to at least UK Athletics level 1 and have all undergone CRB checks to obtain coaching licenses.
In March 2009 Altrincham & District Athletic Club was awarded the 'Club Mark' accreditation further demonstrating the commitment of club to encouraging development and equity amongst young athletes and members of the community.

Winter Tuesday 7.00pm - 8.00pm

Summer Tuesday 6.00pm - 8.00pm

During the summer months, end of March to end of September at least one of our coaches will provide training from 6.00pm to 7.00pm especially for our younger athletes and for others who wish to work with their own coaches for the second hour.
A schedule will displayed on the track notice board.
Additional training sessions may also be held, these are organised by individual coaches and may be held at the track or elsewhere.

All juniors under 18 years of age are required to register their attendance in the office at every training session.
