 Trafford 10km Minimize

Introduction
The Trafford 10km is the oldest and largest of the races Altrincham Athletic Club organise. First held in 1990, the race is now held twice every year – every March and September – and has become one of the most popular events on the North West road racing calendar.
The race headquarters (including car parking, registration, changing and showers) is Partington Leisure Centre. To get there, exit the M60 at junction 8 and follow the A6144 through Carrington and into Partington. The leisure centre is signposted on your left, just before Broadoak School, and can be accessed via Cross Lane West.

The Course
One of the main reasons the Trafford 10km has become so popular is the fast, flat nature of the course. Popular with the regular racer who is looking for a personal best, the course is also ideal for any first time 10k runner who would prefer a less demanding course.
The race starts outside Broadoak school in Partington, heading along the A6144 before turning left for a circuit round the rural country lanes and finishing at Partington Leisure Centre, our race headquarters.
The course has been measured and certified as an accurate 10km distance by North of England AA course measurer.
